Blue lotus is my favorite plant of all time and these stamens are not only extremely fairly priced but also very high quality. For me, they always leave me feeling extremely happy and peaceful. they are beautiful when smoked, absolutely delicious when made into tea and wonderful soaked in wine. I cannot recommend these highly enough. (Posted on 9/9/2021)
I bought these stamens to make a blue lotus wine. I did try it as a tea which was not bad at all.
I'm a meadmaker and I used a bottle of cinninmon, orange peel, and clove mead that I made to infuse it with for about a week. When I finally cracked open the bottle I was very happy with its effects. A little goes a long way! (Posted on 5/30/2021)
I just tried this as a tea for the first time. I used 1Tsp stamens in a tea diffuser and 6 oz water and let it steep for several minutes. It tasted pleasant, similar to green tea. I didn't use sweetener. A half hour later I had a feeling of clarity and well being. (Posted on 10/28/2020)
These were just as good as the ones I bought from another site, but the price was much better. These are good with smoking herb, but soaking them in wine was just fantastic! Put 1/2 ounce in a bottle of wine and let it soak for a week. Then split it 2 or 4 ways. Nice. Even our dog loves it in raw form or in wine. She has a blast with us, chasing her tale and performing comedy routines. (Posted on 3/15/2016)
It wasn't bad but wasn't as good as I was expecting, I only used 6g at a time I suppose I could try increasing the grams. But it was something I wanted to try and I am glad I did. (Posted on 1/3/2016)
These stamens are awesome! They arrived in a re sealable package and were the freshest I have ever purchased through other companies as well as half the cost! DO NOT waste your time looking for another source for your herbal needs, Mood and Mind is THE BEST! Thank you! (Posted on 9/17/2014)
This product has allowed me sweet sleep. We use a mason jar and place a five finger pinch of the stamens in the jar. We then cut into thin slices about an inch of ginger root. We then fill the jar with vodka. Let it sit for a day or two. Non refrigerated.
We then drink what would amount to a shot glass before bed time. We add a thin slice of cucumber to the glass and a little agave and let it sit a spell. Eat the cucumber and then shoot or sip the vodka. It will have a yellow tint and we pour it through a strainer.
The stamens really did seem fresh, and healthy. Not moist or anything but not dried out either. For the price, it really is worth trying. I would recommend this blue lotus product over the others, the 50 x is also effective but not so much in the cost sense. What I really wish mood and mind would consider is making a extract out of just the stamens, I really think it would be a top seller and change the blue lotus game. (Posted on 6/26/2014)
Tried this for the first time and am pleased with the results! Very smooth smoke...calming. I have stress issues and this seems to help. Mood and Mind continues to provide excellent service...product...and prices! Again...thanks! (Posted on 12/31/2013)
I made a tincture using 1/2 pint of vodka and around 20 grams of of the lotus stamens. It sat at room temp. for 4 days. then I added a few ounces of water and put in the fridge. Just a little cough medicine cup before bed is all it takes to improve sleep and have more vivid dreams. (I eat the lotus that pours out with the liquid)
So there is my recipe! (Posted on 9/21/2013)
For those that are interested in trying blue lotus this is probably the best bet for a couple of reasons. They are a very economical way to try the plant. The stamens are far more potent than any other part of the plant and the so called "extracts" are extracts of the flowers and leaves which probably require a lot of reduction to even match to 1:1 potency of the stamens. I crushed them up and add them to my smoothies. Its tough to say just how effective they are but it will be the 3rd time I buy them so they must be doing something right. so far the website has been pretty decent even though i think a lot of the other reviews could be fraudulent advertisements.
*FOLLOWING NOTE FROM MOOD & MIND MANAGEMENT: We agree with you that our reviews are so generally positive that we ourselves might suspect the same as shoppers. However, the fact is that every single review on Mood & Mind is legitimate and we can prove it. Just look at all the products that have no reviews yet. If we wanted to post fake shill reviews, we would do it for most/all products, but we don't. :-) (Posted on 9/15/2013)
Yet again Mood and Mind is second to none. After twenty purchases, kanna, kava, blue lotus, and 50:1 blue lotus, I have yet to be disappointed ! (Posted on 4/13/2013)
Hi everyone this is by far the best part of the blue lotus. It is amazing in wine , It is amazing in tea , It is amazing in capsules, and I never smoked this part of herb but it should be amazing . I hope this is helpful take care and god bless. Charlie Murphy (Posted on 2/4/2013)
I've tried several different blue lotus products from M&M, and though all of them were high quality, I've found the stamens to be my overall favorite choice. The reason for this is because of the many uses it can be put to in this form. I've made it into tea (hot and cold), tossed it into salads, used it sublingually and soaked some in wine, all the methods worked wonderfully!
Strength wise, it doesn't feel as strong as a similar amount of the powdered extract does, but that trade off is worth it in my opinion, because stamens can be strained from wine far easier than powder.
Overall the thing I like most about this is that it's natural and doesn't feel processed or dirty, which is more than can be said for the vast majority of online retailers. (Posted on 9/6/2012)
Aside from the extract, this is the most potent form that I have tried.
I usually smoke this but, have also added this & petals to wine, a sweet wine as this will add a slight bitterness.
I take a cup of wine from the bottle then add a 1/2 oz. of petals & 1/2 of the stamens, add back as much of the wine that you first removed, recork or a twist cap is easier. Then I lightly shake & refigerate. I gently shake it a couple of times a day for 1-2 weeks...the longer you let it set the better.
Two weeks is the most I let it steep, then I strain & squeeze all of the liquid from the flowers, & mix it with another fresh bottle of wine to freshen it up a bit & to mask the bitterness even more...then I share it with a few friends.
Very nice effect! (Posted on 1/8/2012)
