Honeybush has been used in South Africa for generations and is believed to hold wellness-promoting benefits from potent antioxidants and phytochemicals. It is one of the earliest herbs to be considered a substitute for tea. Honeybush is caffeine free, high in antioxidants, and has a sweet flavor with overtones of honey. The overall flavor is very unique and has been compared to hot apricot jam or a dried fruit mix. This certified organic Honeybush tea is imported from the Cape of Good Hope and has a smooth and mild fruity flavor.

Suggested Use: For the best brew, Honeybush should steep in water that has been brought to a rolling boil for 5-7 minutes. This tea is traditionally served hot, but is also great when served iced.

This has an excellent flavor, and I find it relaxing like chamomille. Not surprised it goes out of stock pretty regulalry. It even works well to add a pinch to another tea mixture. (Posted on 6/19/2014)
